How to increase metabolic rate and burn extra calories

If you want to lose weight you must raise your metabolism and burn more energy.

By increasing the rate at which your body carries out day to day metabolic tasks you will burn etra calories and lose weight.

Here are ten steps  you can take  to raise your metabolic rate.

1.       Never skip breakfast as soon possible after waking up you should have something to eat. As soon as you eat your body gets the message that food is abundant and it's safe to rev up the system.

2.       Drink plenty of water your body can't not carry out its metabolic functions without adequate water.

3.       Eat more which take all or most of the calories they contain to digest then celery and apples are two good examples.  

4.       Eat regular meals several small meals spread though out the day are better than one or two big meals. This tactic will reinforce the food is abundant message.

5.       Drink green tea, green tea when drunk on a regular basis has been shown to speed up the metabolism.

6.       Eating more spicy foods which also boost metabolic rate but only for a short time.

7.       Build more muscle. Muscle burns calories just by being there, your muscles burn calories even when you are asleep. Using anaerobic exercise to build muscle on a regular basis is a calorie burning investment for the future.

8.       Don't partake in fasting or low calorie diets when you fast or drastically cut your calories your body gets the famine message and slow down the metabolic rate to preserve calories and stored food supplies.

9.       Get plenty of exercise walking running swimming, movement is a top way to boost metabolism and even after stop exercising the metabolism keeps burning at an increase rate for some hours.

10.   Try to avoid stress causes your body to release hormones that slow metabolism.

Increasing your metabolism is the way to go if you want to lose weight.
